The Grove mall in the middle of Los Angeles!

We were made aware of this pretty farmer's market years ago by our daughter-in-law and could not believe at the time that there was such a quiet place in the turbulent megacity of Los Angeles.

Since then, we love to visit him and the adjoining mall The Grove when we're in Los Angeles. Each time a small fascinating world opens for us as we enter this market.

The variety of the offer of more than 100 providers, really leaves nothing to be desired. We like to get salad, fruits and vegetables fresh from the region. From time to time we treat ourselves to delicious, incredibly tender steaks for the BBQ in the evening.

Everywhere on the market there are very inviting food stalls offering an incredible variety of dishes. We love to eat under the open sky and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of bustling Los Angeles.

The Grove, open-air mall in the Farmersmarket Los Angeles!

After eating a snack, we walk towards the mall. We always do our shopping on the way back after we have walked extensively through the shopping center The Grove.

You can walk to Grove comfortably, or take a small tram from Farmersmarket. When we are alone, we run but our little grandson is the classic made tram course duty.

Jurassic World in the Grove with Noah!

Soon, the film premiere of Jurassik World should be, which of course should be shown in the cinema there. But in the middle of the shopping mall The Grove a huge T Rex was built and with that we wanted to surprise our grandson.

Noah loves everything that has to do with Jurassik Word or Dinos. Whether shirt, shoes or bedding, everything has to do with dinosaurs and every single one he knows by name.

Of course he was thrilled with the huge dinosaur and we enjoyed taking many pictures of him and the imposing Dino.

The Grove Shopping Center offers everything from top-notch jewelery to cosmetics or a good book. All famous brands such as Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg, La Piazza, Barnes and Nobles or Sephora beckon with their exquisite offer.

Of course, there are many well-known restaurants where we like to eat, such as the Cheescake Factory or Wood Ranch.

Shopping fun for celebrities and tourists!

It always makes fun in the Nordstrom to watch the many young, mainly women with their cameras. They even follow their star to the bathroom and wait until he returns to take a picture with him.

After a photo, this young man eagerly awaited by a pursuer then fled to the escalator. Of course I had to hold on to the camera, but I have no idea who that could be.

I'm a big fan of the series Californication and this year by chance Marcy (Pamela Adlon) disappeared in front of me in the restroom. I was pleased to see her, but I would never have thought to wait outside the door, let alone ask for a photo.

. Of course, if I have the luck to take a random snapshot, like on top of the escalator, then of course I will not miss it . Otherwise, but I think you should leave them their privacy and not at any price their proximity search.

In the middle of the market are idyllic water facilities and a fountain that moves to the beat of the music.

Especially nice is the small meadow with shady places, for which you can borrow free picnic blankets. There you can take a little break, watch the fun, enjoy the atmosphere and every Friday even with live music.

Always worth a visit!

The Grove and the Farmersmarket, with their ambience, design and bustle, give the feeling of strolling in an old-fashioned town.

Both are considered a favorite with locals and tourists, because where is there a place where you can buy fresh vegetables and expensive designer clothes at the same time.

Also on our next visit to LA we will go shopping there regularly because fresh, local food is very important to us.

  • That looks great there. My daughter would also love the dinos and the tram. I think it's great that this place attracts both locals and tourists. I really like such a mixture. Thanks for the informative contribution.

    Many greetings,

  • Germany could look at the shopping experience really much from the US abgucken. Anyone traveling there definitely plans to do some shopping, not just because of the products and prices, but because of the whole thing. Really cool!

  • That's when I feel like I'm back in the 3 months that I used to live in Culver City 🙂 I've been to The Grove a few times to stroll and shop, mostly missing the market. But was not bad, in Culver City, there was always a totally cute little with great things! Man, those were times back then?

  • That looks very inviting, dear Sigrid. Every time I read your posts, I get yearning for America. And I still do not know when it will finally go back there.

    Have a nice Sunday evening!

  • That looks really great. I always like your reports because I've never been to the US. So at least I get a little insight 🙂 Maybe I'll make it there again someday 🙂

  • Wow, that's what I call a big vegetable and fruit department. Then there is also a selection of glazed apples? In Austria, there is only one shop in Austria, which may be able to keep up with the offer, and that is the metro. But not everyone can come in, but only self-employed who have a card! But the shopping center in Los Angeles does not only convince with the offer, but is also a small experience 😉
