In 1946, the Hotel Flamingo opened its doors in Las Vegas with the associated casino. It is one of the oldest hotels on the Strip of Las Vegas and has certainly seen better days, but it has everything a visitor in Las Vegas needs. The hotel has a small shopping arcade where you can get rid of a buck or two and in the Flamingo shop you can get souvenirs for your home. The location centrally on the strip opposite the Hotel Ceasar's Palace and the Bellagio is excellent. All sights are within easy walking distance of the Hotel Flamingo. The new shopping and entertainment mile THE LING is also nearby. There is, among other things, the Las Vegas High Roller . At 167 meters, this is currently the largest ferris wheel in the world.

We looked at some hotels during our vacation, but the casinos interested us because we are passionate poker players. The casino at the Hotel Flamingo Las Vegas is not as big as one is used to from, for example, the Bellagio, Luxor, Ballys, but they like it very much. The poker tournaments are not as high priced as in other hotels and also manageable by the number of participants. So gambling is much more fun, because a tournament does not last as long as in other hotels.

You can also brunch at the Hotel Flamingo!

For $ 20, the Paradise Garden Buffet offers good food in a pleasant setting. There is a large selection of hot and cold dishes. From fruits, vegetables, salads, cheese to sweets such as omelettes, ice cream and cakes, there is something for everyone. The price includes all drinks coffee and even sparkling wine.

If you're lucky, you get a window seat in the surrounding rooms of the restaurant. Then you can observe the flamingos and other animals in the garden of the hotel while feasting

With its integrated casino, shopping, pool and parking, the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel has everything a visitor needs and is highly recommended.

Wow that looks great! I would like to make a big trip to the west coast next or next year, because your great tips come just right. Thank you! Send greetings to Las Vegas!

  • Of course there is a casino in the hotel - otherwise it would not be Vegas. But architecture does not really suit me, too cheesy.

  • Typically Vegas! 😀 These are awesome photos, but casinos are not for me.

  • The Ferris wheel would not be for me 😉

  • I always admire the dimension of Vegas, an artificial city tamped out of the desert. Something has this city, but I'm still not sure if I really want to see it. I keep thinking. Thank you for a new insight. best regards

  • Huhu Sigrid, thank you for your hotel tip!
I find it particularly cool that you have the opportunity to observe the flamingos and other animals!
Best regards a nice weekend Alina (:

  • I know the flamingo only from the outside. So far, we were only in other hotels than we were in Vegas. I think we'll make another trip in 3 weeks 😉 Maybe we'll stop by the Flamingo 😉

    best regards

    • We like to play poker because you can play tournaments there, not just cash games. In tournaments you have an overview of your money, you pay a certain amount and can only lose the one.
      best regards

  • I've never been to the US, but I'm sure I'll go there soon. In a city like Las Vegas, I divorce the ghosts - they love or hate them.
I'm not sure how I would react to that, but it's definitely worth seeing.
    Thank you for your insight!

  • Unfortunately, I have not been to Las Vegas yet, but that's definitely on my to-do list of life!
