Of course, when a baby is expected in my family or in a circle of friends, I am very happy with the expectant parents. For me it's always a great opportunity to get creative and rattle my knitting needles. It makes me particularly happy to have sweet and individual memorabilia created for the new earthly citizen.

A cuddly blanket, a handknit Babyjäckchen, a fancy pullover, cute mini skirt and much more, my creativity knows no bounds.

Handknitted from cuddly wool is always a welcome gift!

Of course, I take great care with my baby things, that the wool is nice and soft, washable at 30 degrees and comfortable to wear. Such as the charity of Woolly Hugs which is available in many great colors.

Anyone who knits or crochets with this wool can do a great job, and a part of the purchase will be donated to people with disabilities.

For size 68/74 I needed 150 grams of baby wool. In addition a circular needle in the strength 3.5 a Nadelspiel in the strength 3 and five buttons. Also a crochet hook in the size 3.5 for the crocheted flowers.

The back part!

The baby jacket was simply knitted in right and left stitches.

The back part is 26 cm wide and has a length of 27 cm. For this I have struck 78 stitches and 3 cm kraus right, so knit back and forth in right stitches. In the last reverse row, I knit every 6th and 7th stitch so that the cuff does not roll. After that, knit 24 cm smooth right over the remaining 68 stitches (front row to the right, back row to the left) and then bind off all stitches.

The two front parts!

Thirty-seven stitches were struck for the right front piece and, like the back piece, knitted 3 cm on the crotch to the right, ie back and forth in right stitches. For the cuff, I knit 5 stitches at the inner edge.

After 22 cm smooth right I had to take for the neckline in every other row 1 x 7, 1 x 4, 2 x 2 and 1 x 1 stitch. At a length of 27 cm then the remaining stitches are chained off.

The left front part is knit in the same direction and five buttonholes worked. To do this, knit 1 edge stitch, 1 right stitch, 1 turn the next two stitches together and make a right stitch.

For the sleeves I struck 42 stitches and knitted 2 cm kraus right. Then it went smooth right on to a length of 16 cm. I had to increase 2 stitches in each eighth row on both sides for 1 stitch and then in every 6th row until I reached the length of 16 cm and the width of 19 cm.
