Unfortunately, fires belong to the sunny state of California such as burger, sun, sandy beach and the deep blue sea. They are feared and always present, because usually already a small spark is enough to trigger a giant fire.
During our stay in September we saw the devastating traces of the Woolsey Fire and were shocked.
This morning, my son from Los Angeles called me and told me that clouds of smoke are darkening the sky of California and flames are spreading. This time near the Getty Center a famous tourist destination that's why it was also called Getty Fire.
He had been tracking the news for some time, heading to the Freeway 405 in the Beverly Hills area, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Everywhere fire trucks lined the streets and excited people carry their most valuable belongings to their cars.
He said that hundreds of firefighters are working to fight the Getty Fire. The fire has already destroyed several houses and caused thousands of evacuations.
The fire, driven by strong winds, set off near the Getty Center along the 405 Freeway at 2 am. At 5 o'clock in the morning, there were already 3,300 homes in the area under evacuation.
The fire department, which tries to get control over the fire, has advised caution to all residents west of the 405 freeway and north of Sunset Boulevard. They should be vigilant and prepare for a possible evacuation.
The evacuation zone extends from Mulholland Drive in the north, 405 in the east, Sunset Boulevard in the south to Temescal Canyon Road in the west.
It is believed that weather conditions will deteriorate during the day.
