When is the best time to go to Los Angeles?

The best travel time for Los Angeles?

The best travel time for Los Angeles always depends on how you imagine your vacation. In this metropolis, there is something in every season that is worth seeing and attractive.

The city of angels, as they are called, is surrounded by beautiful beaches and therefore especially in the summer months from May to October   a popular destination for vacationers who want to spend a lot of time on the beach. During these months, the average temperature is usually 28 degrees Celsius. Since Los Angeles is located right on the Pacific coast and there is a steady light sea breeze blowing, even the warm months of summer are perceived as mild and pleasant.

Everywhere you see tanned bodies lying in the sun, playing volleyball, or frolicking in the water. There are also paved trails for running and cycling on many beaches, such as Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier.

Every two to three years there are heat waves in Los Angeles where a temperature of up to 45 degrees Celsius can be reached. The risk of forest fires is particularly high at this time and these pose a major threat to the population.

But even when there is smog, some days in summer in Los Angeles it gets very hot and stuffy. The heat-stricken people in the area then flee to the beaches , where it is much cooler.

Los Angeles is a city that has something for everyone.

No matter if old or young and no matter what interests you have, there is something for everyone. Film lovers should stroll the Walk of Fame and feel like a star or take a day trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. Sport can inspire a game at the Staples Center the tickets are not expensive and affordable for everyone. For example, if you like culinary delights, head to Sushi Sushi in Little Tokyo.

The nature lovers are not too short, there are many beautiful trails with different levels of difficulty, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This example leads to the Paradise Falls in Thousand Oaks.

Of course it is always fun to visit the attractions of Los Angeles. For those who prefer slightly lower temperatures, the months of November to May are best. The temperatures are at this time at an average of 18 degrees Celsius. Also, then the beaches and restaurants are not so full and much cheaper than in the summer months.

If LA was not just on the other side of the hemisphere, that would be worth a short flight. That's a long-planned event.

  • So we were at the end of June-beginning of July and the weather was fantastic! Since we have looked a lot and little time for beach was planned, it was quite exhausting! But May or even April would definitely have been better to save a few degrees on the tours and visits!

    Many greetings
