When we have an appetite for a good steak on our visits to California, we always like to visit the Outback Steakhouse on Thousend Oaks Boulevard.
The Outback is a restaurant chain with about 1,000 branches in more than 20 countries. It is known for its steaks and the cozy, slightly dark Australian atmosphere. Locations are found in North America, South America, Australia and Asia. The Outback has a large selection of freshly made, very tender and artfully spiced Australian style steaks. No matter if Filet Mignon, Porterhouse, Ribeye (there are seven steak choices to choose from) they are all perfectly fried and so juicy they are melt on the tongue.
Although the Outback Steakhouse is known for its steaks, its rich menu includes everything from gourmets to delicious desserts that the gourmand desires.
There are starters such as soups, salads, cheese fries, coconut shrimp and more. The Baked Potato Soup, a potato soup with bacon and cheese baked, I find very delicious. Anyone who likes onions should definitely try the famous, Blooming Onion , a baked giant onion with a spicy sauce.
Main courses include seafood such as salmon, lobster and crab but also chicken dishes, ribs, burgers, sandwiches and more.
Also for the sweet tooth is thought, there are as a dessert eg cheesecake, brownies with vanilla ice cream, Carrot Cake or other.
Before dinner, there was a loaf dark brown, still warm bread and a kind of herb butter. We were able to cut it in slices and also reorder more, which we did. It was really delicious and free as in many good restaurants in the US.
Actually, we were already almost full, but it was still missing our ordered main course!
We had a yummy ribeye steak, well marbled, juicy and yummy and as a side dish a big baked potato with a sour cream sauce, butter, chives and bacon.
Delicious food, excellent steak, great atmosphere, very friendly staff. We felt very comfortable.
